OUR COURSES & PROGRAMMES

Lincolnshire Training Hub operate a fair selection process when administering places on any courses. This process includes the involvement of Lincolnshire system partners whilst collectively promoting the upskilling, recruitment and retention activities in Lincolnshire Primary Care. Should you have interest in any of the available courses please contact a member of the team for further information and application forms.

This application form will may be shared with our Lincolnshire system partners including Lincolnshire STP, Lincolnshire CCG, Lincolnshire LMC and Health Education England colleagues.

 

VIRTUAL MEDICAL SCHOOL INTERVIEW EVENT

This free new course, led by medical students, will help prepare you for upcoming medical school interviews by providing a ‘top tips’ presentation, a personal online mock interview and feedback to help you improve. It will be held 28th of November 9am-12pm and the closing date for applications is 06/11/2020.

PG CERT IN CLINICAL TEACHING AND PRACTICE EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LINCOLN - LEVEL 7, 60 CREDIT MODULE

Who can apply?

Doctors, Nurses and AHPs working in Primary Care in Lincolnshire with a teaching responsibility or those with a passion for clinical education.

To apply for a funded place please download and complete the funding application form on www.lincolnshiretraininghub.com and return to Lisa.freeman9@nhs.net

Course due to start January 2020. Applications for funding will close 31.08.20 to allow for the University application process. University applications will open Autumn 2020.

TRAINEE NURSING ASSOCIATE PROGRAMME

We are now recruiting for the 2021 course start dates, with the course being funded by Apprentice Levy, and a training grant provided directly to the GP surgery.

Commitment:

   - 2 years part time level 4 study and practice placements 

   - Able to commit to a 37.5 hours working week plus personal study time

   - Able to travel county-wide to attend practice placements and University of Lincoln

   - Fixed holiday periods for 2 years

You need to be employed as a GP Healthcare Assistant for a minimum of 6 months. Minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C or equivalent.

There are currently two courses available:

ONLINE TRANSITION TRAINING FOR EXISTING NURSE MENTORS IN PRIMARY AND SOCIAL CARE - NMC SSSA

NATH has developed an online training package for existing NMC mentors in primary and social care settings to complete transition training to the new SSSA. We are hosting three webinars to support this training package. More dates will be added if there is demand.

This course aims to:

The free course involves:

    - Attendance at an initial 2 day specialist "Teaching the Teachers in Primary Care"

    - An additional 3rd day to consolidate and re-enforce learning focusing on supervision skills

    - Opportunities to become involved in more teaching and CV building activities to enhance your future career opportunities as a teacher and clinical supervisor.
